Uvod:
- aplikacije priložnostnih omrežji,
- aplikacije senzorskih omrežji,
- izzivi.

Fizični sloj:
- ožičeni, radijski in optični prenosni medij.

MAC protokoli:
- delitev protokolov MAC,
- ALOHA, CSMA, S-MAC, C-MAC.

Usmerjanje v priložnostnih omrežjih:
- usmerjanje na osnovi topologije,
- usmerjanje na osnovi lokacije,
- drugi usmerjevalni protokoli.

Tehnologije priložnostnih in senzorskih omrežji:
- IEEE 802.11,
- Bluetooth, LE-Bluetooth,
- IEEE 802.15, ZigBee, IEEE 802.15.6,
- CAN bus, HART, EnOcean, M-bus, OpenTherm,
SMI, Insteon.

Lokalizacija v brezžičnih senzorskih omrežjih:
- osnovni principi: čas prihoda, razlika v času
prihoda, kot prihoda, moč sprejetega signala,
- rešitve: GPS, radijski svetilnik, bližinske točke,
- algoritmi: centralizirani/distribuirani.

Časovna sinhronizacija:
- izzivi časovne sinhronizacije,
- osnove časovne sinhronizacije,
- protokoli časovne sinhronizacije.

Arhitektura senzorskega vozlišča:
- senzorski podsistem, procesorski podsistem,
komunikacijski vmesnik, prototipi, senzorski
operacijski sistemi

Introduction:
- applications of ad-hoc networks,

Physical layer:
- wired, radio and optical transmissions.

MAC protocols:
- classification of MAC protocols,

Routing in Ad Hoc Networks:
- topology based protocols,

- other routing protocols(power aware routing).

Wireless technologies for ad-hoc and sensor
networks:

Localization in wireless sensor networks:
- basic principles: time of arrival, time difference

Time Synchronization:
- challenges for time synchronization,
- basics of time synchronization,
- time synchronization protocols.

Sensor node architecture:

Cilji in kompetence:
Objectives and competences:

Predmet je uvod v problematiko priložnostnih in
senzorskih omrežji ter ima namen posredovati
študentom sistemsko znanje in znanja o
pripadajočih algoritmih v priložnostnih in
senzorskih omrežjih, vključno s problemi
lokalizacije, protokoli usmerjanja, protokoli MAC.
Dodana je še problematika, značilna za senzorska
omrežja, kot je pregled strojnih in programskih
platform za razvoj senzorskih omrežji.

Kompetence študenta bodo po uspešno opravljenem predmetu obsegale uporabno
strokovno znanje o priložnostnih in brezžičnih
senzorskih omrežjih.

This course is an introduction to the problematic of
ad hoc and sensor networks and it is intended to
provide students with understanding of system and
algorithmic issues in ad hoc and sensor networks
including localisation, routing protocols, MAC
protocols. In addition problematic specific for sensor networks like the hardware and software platforms for developing sensor networks are included.

The competencies of the students completing this course successfully will include applicable expert knowledge of ad hoc and wireless sensor networks.

Študenti bodo z uspešno opravljenimi obveznostmi tega predmeta pridobili:
- poznavanje izzivov in problemov priložnostnih
in brezžičnih senzorskih omrežij, vključno s
problemi načrtovanja komunikacijskih
protokolov, aplikacij in strojne opreme,
- poznavanje sedanjega stanja na področju
protokolov v priložnostnih in senzorskih
omrežjih, arhitekture senzorskih omrežji in
aplikacij,
- znanje o načrtovanju priložnostnih in
brezžičnih senzorskih omrežji.

Students successfully completing this course will
acquire:
- knowledge of challenges and problems in ad hoc and wireless sensor networks including
communication protocols design, application
design and hardware design,
- knowledge of the state of the art in ad hoc and
sensor network protocols, architecture and
applications,
- knowledge of the design of ad hoc and wireless
sensor network.
