ERASMUS+ EXCHANGE VISIT TO TU DELFT, NETHERLANDS

Collaboration with a research group in the field of computer architectures.

ERASMUS+ Exchange Visit to TU Delft, Netherlands

Published: 11. apr. 2025

Between March 24 and April 1, 2025, I visited TU Delft University in the Netherlands. During this short exchange, I became familiar with the work of the research group led by Prof. Georgi Gaydadjiev and Prof. Peter Hofstee, which focuses on various aspects of computer architecture development. In personal meetings, we exchanged knowledge on the use of the Chisel hardware description language. I was also introduced to the Tydi system, a framework for creating hardware interfaces for streaming accelerators. As part of these discussions, we explored the potential for applying these tools in our own work. At the end of the exchange, I also attended the ASPLOS 2025 conference, which took place near Rotterdam. There, among other topics, I attended a seminar on the xDSL compiler framework. The xDSL framework facilitates rapid prototyping of domain-specific compilers, such as those for highly quantized neural network accelerators. This is an area where I intend to apply the knowledge gained during the exchange.
