Two-year second-cycle study programme prepares students for research and development work in Slovenian and international R&D projects.



Three-year (six semesters) third-level study programme , which includes preparation of a doctoral dissertation, and leads to the award of a "doktor znanosti"* degree

Forms and Modes of Study

The educational process is organised as full-time studies based on the ECTS credit framework. Candidates and their supervisors select optional courses and seminar paper topics independently. The studies include various forms of work: lectures, seminars, laboratory work, seminar work, individual research work and project work dealing with actual cases from the business practices of national and international companies. All postgraduate students are included in research work conducted in the framework of Slovenian, international, or industrial research projects.

The studies consist of three parts:

I. General and specific knowledge in the fields of particular study programmes

The purpose of this part is to acquire specific knowledge and to master the methods and techniques in the selected disciplines, as well as in other interdisciplinary fields.

II. General knowledge in law, management, and sustainable development

The purpose of this part is to extend and broaden the knowledge related to local and global aspects of sustainable development, as well as planning and managing development projects.

III. Research work

The purpose of this part is to master current specific research methods and techniques in the field of the study and, in collaboration with the industry, to qualify the students for implementing and managing state-of-the-art knowledge in the industry.


The tuition fee per academic year is 3,960 EUR. The tuition covers the expenses related to the educational process and organisation.
