The Jožef Stefan International Postgraduate School was designed for students and employees having the desire and ambition to develop professionally and personally in a research and innovative environment. Students can choose from a wide selection of elective courses, everyone can acquire the specific combination of knowledge and skills  needed for their research field. If students change their mind during the study, they can choose other courses.

The professor : student ratio is higher than 1 : 2. Students are included in their supervisors' research groups and are therefore in contact with them on a daily basis.

Forms and Modes of Study

The educational process is organised as full-time studies based on the ECTS credit framework. Candidates independently, with the help of their supervisors, select elective courses and seminar paper topics. Each postgraduate student is included in Slovenian, international, or industrial research projects.

The studies consist of three parts:
