PRESENTATION OF SCENARIO ANALYSIS OF REDUCING GREENHOUSE GASSES (CLIMATE CHANGE MITIGATION) IN SLOVENIA UNTIL 2050
Monday, 17 May 2021, at 2.00 pm
Monday, 17 May 2021, at 2.00 pm
As a Paris Agreement signatory and also as an EU member, Slovenia is obliged to follow the commitments from the Paris Agreement – keeping the global temperature growth well below 2 °C and making efforts to keep the growth around 1,5° C. Slovenian government recently adopted a Slovenian long-term climate strategy – with the goal to become climate neutral by 2050. Background analyses (projections of GHG reduction) were prepared by a consortium led by the JSI Energy Efficiency Centre in the frame of the LIFE ClimatePath2050 project.
Within the short lecture, JSI experts will present the methodology and projections of greenhouse gasses (GHG) for Slovenia up to 2050, impacts of different scenarios, as well as a short history and current state of the greenhouse gasses reduction in Slovenia.
The lecture will be held on Monday, 17 May 2021, at 2 pm via Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87027607285?pwd=Z05IcWFUQXRuTDFPbjh3OE84d3prZz09
