My PhD research involves the Chemical Solution Deposition of ferroelectric thin films based on barium titanate (BaTiO3), specifically on the solid solution Ba(Zr0.2Ti0.8)O3-(Ba0.7Ca0.3)TiO3 (BZT-BCT). We have successfully prepared BZT-BCT thin films which are an interesting solution when considering the miniaturization of electronic components and devices. The purpose of my visit to the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid, CSIC, Spain was to learn and perform dielectric measurements in a wide temperature range of the thin films we prepared in our laboratory at the Department of Electronic Ceramics - K5, Jožef Stefan, and to discuss my results with my host Dr. Harvey AMORÍN which could bring a new understanding of this complex solid solution.
During my stay, I had the opportunity to discuss my research results with outstanding professors from Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid, CSIC, and make new professional connections.
