In framework of teaching mobility between Jožef Stefan Postgraduate School (Ljubljana, Slovenia) and al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty, Kazakhtsan) of Erasmus+ program Matveyeva Ilona visited Jožef Stefan Postgraduate School to give lectures and seminars in a field of radioecology and radiochemistry in period of May, 19-25, 2019. The main lecture “Nuclear and uranium legacy of Kazakhstan and Central Asia” was 21.5.2019 at 13:00 in the O-2 lecture room at the Reactor Centre.
The lecture summarized the main data obtained by the staff of laboratory of radiation ecology named by Marie Skłodowska-Curie. The data was discussed with people participated at the lecture, the key points were discussed and analyzed. During the seminars on radiochemistry (Behavior of radionuclides in environment; Environmental Radiation monitoring; Sampling and sample pre-treatment of environmental objects; Methods of concentration of radionuclides; Methods of separation of radionuclides; Methods of preparation of counting samples) a lot of technical problems were discussed and ideas of future work were suggested.
