Erasmus+ traineeship in London
Published: 13. sep. 2018
During the second year of my PhD studies at Jožef Stefan International
Postgraduate School I visited Nanoforce Technology Ltd, London, UK for a
2-month Erasmus+ traineeship. The company, which is a spin-out of the
Queen Mary, University of London, combines academic and business aspects
in a single setting and as such offers an incredible opportunity for
early-stage researchers who are still in the process of building their
careers.
The goal of the visit was to familiarize myself with the
foreign working environment and the various laboratory equipment and
procedures that the company has to offer. Some of them will, of course,
also be used in my doctoral thesis, such as the field-assisted sintering
technique and the scanning electron microscopy.
The visit to
the Nanoforce Technology Ltd was an amazing opportunity and experience
for both my scientific and personal growth, and I plan to return there
at some point in the future.
