Open PhD position on the field of synthesis, patterning and characterization of thin films of lead-free piezoelectrics from water-based solutions to replace efficient lead-based materials

Increased awareness and concern for our health and environment are stimulating search for environment-friendly materials. The planned topic of the doctoral study includes synthesis, patterning and characterization of thin films of lead-free piezoelectrics from water-based solutions to replace efficient lead-based materials. The technologies for deposition of the films include spin-coating and inkjet printing. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn the latest methods of deposition and patterning of thin-layer structures from solutions and their characterization.
The applicants should meet the following requirements: (i) average grade of the BSc and MSc degrees from natural science and engineering fields above 8, (ii) age up to 28 years, (iii) knowledge of English.
