Short summary:
This work describes strontium isotope's role in determining the geographical origin and authenticity of foods originating from geologically complex areas such as Slovenia. Milk and truffles as traditionally important commodities were characterized for the first time using strontium isotopic analysis in combination with isotopes of light elements and elemental composition, which opened up further possibilities in tracing of local foods.
