The Department of Environmental Sciences at the Jožef Stefan Institute is seeking for a candidate to be nominated for the selection procedure for the leadership position of the Young Investigator Group in bilateral project CROSSING with Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, supported by the Helmholtz European Partnering funding program.
The successful candidate will have opportunity to lead the group, consisted of 1 postdoc and 2 PhD students, which will be crossing the edge of the unknown in the biogeochemical interactions of manufactured nanomaterials in soil. The post will be paid by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf and stationed at the Jožef Stefan Institute. The group will work on the state-of-the-art equipment at both institutions in vibrant and exciting working environment on the project enabling numerous opportunities for career and personal growth.
The candidate should be younger than 35 years and holding PhD in microbiology, biology, environmental sciences, chemistry, geology, physics or equivalent with some postdoc experience and excellent scientific track record. She/he should demonstrate leadership abilities, organisational skills, excellent communication and writing skills, mentorships and ability to work independently.
